It has widely been reported about Rand Paul's comments on discrimination. While he believes the government should be able to set standards he does not believe private business should be mandated to follow them and indeed they should be able to discriminate at will. Well, his comments have stirred up a firestorm not only among those who believe in equality in America, but among racists who believe that businesses should be allowed to discriminate at will against anyone they see fit.
Here in my home state of Kentucky I have long watched in amazement as the voters of this state continually vote against their own interests. With the coronation tommorrow of "tea-party" candidate Rand Paul in the Republican primary, it only cements this point. You see, Paul and his tea-party backers want to "starve the beast" and slash the federal budget down to nothing. They want to do this because the Republicans here have convinced them that the very rich should not have to pay their taxes. The only problem with this approach is that many Kentuckians, including the "tea-baggers" are reaping handsome rewards from federal grants for needed programs.
Amid the fallout of several scandals at the Michael Steele led RNC a disgusted member has decided to resign. Telling Steele that the "party had lost its way", Sean Mahoney of New Hampshire has quit his post at the RNC. Of course, this begs the question of when did the Republican Party ever find it's way, but alas that is for another time. Right now one can only ask Mahoney, what took so long?? Why now?? Well it appears this crusader may have ulterior motives after all.
As many of you probably already know, the other day President Obama was asked about some of the antics of the idiots on the far right. Led by Oxymoron Rush Limbaugh, and just plain idiotic lunatic Glenn Beck these folks have been firing up every greedy, weak-minded soul in America. Yes, the President committed a terrible sin when he said he found these folks, "troublesome".
Hey Tea Baggers, you might not want to giftwrap that Rolex, it's time to pay for the Iraq And Afghanistan wars.
Wikipedia PAYGO (pay-as-you-go) is a term used to refer to financing where budgetary restrictions demand paying for expenditures with funds that are made available as the program is in progress.
Cost of wars. Cost of Bush Tax Cuts. I realize it's popular for the politicians and rich folks to give themselves big fat tax cuts, start wars without worrying about accumulating more debt and then proclaim their patriotism while raking in their tax cut dough. However, when it comes to saving saving 44,789 American lives the politicians and rich folks could care less. Why? Could it be there's nothing in it for them? I suggest if there was a big tax cut for rich folks in the Health Care bill, the bill would pass faster than you can say Tea Party.
Below is a copy of a email I received entitled: (2010 Tax Returns & Gun Registration....VERY IMPORTANT READ) The email is false according to Snopes. See the Snopes screen shot after the hump. I believe this is just another example of how the right wing Tea Baggers work with their false email chains to excite their less than educated, hate Obama, rural neocon base. Reckon the NRA had something to do with this? The email reads as follows: "Guns must be listed on 2010 tax return. More good news from our beloved administration........ Now 'all Guns' must be listed on your next (2010) tax return! As if we didn't have enough to get upset about! If you have a gun, I hope it isn't registered! Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It will require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun. This bill was introduced on Feb.. 24, 2009, by the Omama staff. BUT this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective! This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee has passed this without the Senate voting on it at all. Trust Obama? ..... you must be kidding!"
How's the Free Market Capitalist system working? It's working OK as long as the Communist Chinese continue to bail out the Free Market Capitalist. The Free Market Capitalist screw everything up and we, the tax payers, borrow money from the Communist Chinese to bail out the Free Market Capitalist. Can we call that Capitalism for sale? Or should we say the the Free Market Capitalist have been exposed for what they are, pyramid scheming phonies looking for cheap labor? The United States put it's fate in the hands of Corporate America the U. S. Chamber of Commerce, George W. Bush and Shotgun Cheney and now when most of our good paying jobs are gone the Chickens are coming home to roost, Communist chickens, and guess who's gonna pay for it. Hint, it won't be the U. S. Chamber of Commerce or Corporate America. For the answer to that question, just peer into your tea cup and the answer will be in the reflection.
Fired up and ready to go? Only if you're a Tea Bagger or a Right Wing Coservative. Gotta hand it to these folks, they are fired up and ready to go and the Progressive Democrats seem to be lazy, ready to sit on their rear ends and whine. Virginia, New Jersey and Maine are proof positive of lackadaisical, lazy, carefree Progressive Democratic efforts. When I wrote this April 15, 2009, I wasn't kidding:
Republicans are already salivating at their chances for gains in 2010. In my opinion, I think they overestimate their own position in the minds of voters. Their chances largely hinge on the hope that voters will completely forget what has gotten this country in the huge mess it was facing when Barack Obama took office. While Republicans now seek to blame Obama for the crashed economy and the high unemployment rate, they insult the American intelligence by assuming that we all just forgot who crashed the economy and cost all those millions of jobs.
It is no secret that in the Commonwealth Wildcat Basketball is huge. After a few disappointing seasons in a row many Kentucky fans finally got what they wanted. A new coach many feel can bring us back to the national championship promised land. However, it is beginning to look like for many Wildcat fans what they really needed more than a new coach is a clue.
The Tea Baggers seem to be really concerned about the national debt and taxes, but are they sincere? Many of these same folks believed Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9-11 and supported the invasion of a sovereign country, because they believed the the right wing propaganda, weapons of mass destruction, baloney hook, line and sinker. Now they want to complain about taxes, never mind the troops that have been killed or wounded because of their stupidity or innocent Iraqi citizens being killed due to their rush to war without even thinking. Well I've got news for the Tea Baggers, bombs and war cost money. How does over 3 trillion dollars sound, Tea Bagger? The Tea Baggers that supported the Iraq war seem to believe that putting a little magnetic ribbon, made in China, on the trunk of their car or truck is enough sacrifice for them and to Hell with with the rest of it. Well, I'm here to tell you that ain't enough and now it's time to pay the piper for the Iraq debacle! So Tea Bagger get ready to start writing checks to Uncle Sam to pay for the war, The Tea Bag Iraq War, you started. Ps: You might want to chip in a little extra to pay for the "Water Boarding Equipment."
